I ran my last run in Utah a couple of hours ago. It was 10:00 pm, the weather was perfect, and it was a good run. Good. Run.
I took it easy, running at a 10:30 pace for 5.2 miles, and was reminded how nice it is to actually take it easy on a run. It was refreshing and it brought me back to what I love about running. I've forgotten that over the past few months, so it was fantastic to be reminded again.
And in about 12 hours I'm hopping on a plane to Anchorage to begin my new life...complete with new full-time job! I've been super nervous about this move -- the logistics of it are a complete nightmare. I've been falling apart at the seams these past couple of weeks just trying to get things in order, but it seems things will eventually work out the way they're supposed to...I hope.
One thing's for sure: I'm pretty damn excited to start running in Alaska.
Not sure how you feel but I think just having a bit of stability would be a welcomed change of pace. Plus setting out on a new adventure in Alaska seems pretty cool. Not sure how you'll react to living there once the weather gets cold but I guess you'll drive a snowplow over that bridge when you get there :)
ReplyDelete¡Suerte!
Girl! Why didn't you call me? You know I just went through all of this!!!!! I'm glad you had a great final run and are ready for your next adventure! Safe travels! Call me soon! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou were still in Utah and I wasn't aware of it?! DANG!!!
ReplyDeleteHope the move is easy. You'll love Alaska... until about October and then we will just have to see how you handle the dark and cold. But it will still be an adventure!
Say hi to Sarah P.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with a new beginning and a new blank sheet of paper on which you will write of your greatness.
Can't wait to follow your Alaskan adventures. I will live vicariously through you.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your new chapter!
ReplyDeleteAlaska - I believe that may be the only state that doesn't show up as visiting my site on google analytics.
ReplyDeleteMaybe your move there will change this. Good luck and I'll be up there for the Anchorage Marathon at some point!
Good luck in the move and Alaskan adventure!
ReplyDeleteSad, but exciting at the same time!! Good luck, watch out for bears.

Good luck to your new adventure!!! Looking forward for update of it.
ReplyDeleteAnchorage - good luck and good treadmill. Oh and don't do the core workout on a cold floor. It provides no benefits.
