Run 2

Two consecutive runs hardly qualifies for being "back in the saddle" of running. But, friends, I'm gonna say it.

I'm back in the saddle.

And it feels goooood. It's amazing how quickly the adrenaline and the rush came back to me. How quickly my feet and legs seemed to find their stride. How quickly I remembered how to push myself. How quickly I remembered that I am totally capable of this running thing. Sure, the pace and endurance needs work. But, Running...I've missed you! I'm so glad we're friends again. Can't wait until we're lovers again.

I have 18 miles total scheduled for this week. I'm gonna knock out a 4-miler tomorrow, 3-miler on Thursday, then a 5-miler on Saturday. Saturday's run should be quite grand. Why? Because it will be in the daylight. Actually, I can't really say "day"light. More like "dusk"light. Because the sun never really fully shines here in the Last Frontier. I will take pictures. I'm guessing icicle eyelashes are in store. Y'all are definitely in for a treat.

  3. I tried to go jogging in like 30 degree weather, at noon, in Utah and nearly died. You're amazing! I can't believe you can run in that cold of weather in the dark. Seriously, AMAZING!
