I think I'll jump on this Three Things Thursday bandwagon. I have to admit, I miss reading Redhead's TTT posts, so I'll try to fill the void with my own post. So here goes:
1. Have you all seen the Hood to Coast movie yet? I'm a little late hopping on that train, but I finally broke down and bought the DVD on Amazon. OMG. Best thing I've seen in a long time! I'm a veteran relay runner myself, so following each of the 4 teams featured in the documentary reminded me of bits and pieces of the relays I've done in the past. I'll admit that I was moved to tears on more than one occasion during the movie (especially the parts involving Team Heart and Sole and Team R. Bowe). It reminded me so much of what happened at Ragnar DC last year. Hmph. Good movie. It really captured the spirit of relay running. If you haven't seen it, go check it out.
2. I'm thinking of relocating next summer. For the most part, I've enjoyed Alaska. But let's face it, it's too far away from pretty much everything, and it's a bit remote and small for my liking. Ultimately, I think I'm a city girl. I've been thinking about possible relocation cities for a few months now, and I've narrowed it down to three: Las Vegas, Washington DC, or Denver. Which one would you choose?
3. I have my first running "date" this weekend. I met another runner the other day, and of course we couldn't stop nerding out about running. He is super nice and super cute (!!!), and I'm feeling nervous about this run. This will be the first time I've ever dressed down for a date. Let's face it, no one looks good in mid-run. Haha. So there you have it. We are running, then going out for lunch.
Awww thanks for picking up the torch! It's weird not to post them lately, I did 93 consecutive posts after it's conception, that's over 2 years worth! But sometimes you need a break...

ReplyDeleteI definately think it should be Denver or Las Vegas, not DC, too expensive...have you thought of Portland or Seattle? Have a great time on your "date" loveya, want you to know I am very, very proud of you.....
ReplyDeleteI saw Hood to Coast on opening night. It was super cool to be with other runners reliving the misery we've all endured. Also, I couldn't stop thinking about Team SSS when they aired Team R Bowe. Crazy! Alisha
ReplyDeletei've never been to any of the cities you named, but i vote Denver! :) i really want to visit there and run a marathon. I went to Seattle this summer and LOVED IT.. i was half ready to pack my bags and move.
