Utah rocks my socks

It's been nice to be home in Utah, to see family, to be in the dry mountain air, and to see old friends. So far, I've spent my time in the Salt Lake Valley, but tomorrow I'll be heading north to Cache Valley where the super fun activities will begin -- wakeboarding, hiking, slip 'n slides, trips to Bear Lake, and more.
The view of the Wasatch Mountains from my hometown of Riverton. Gorgeous.
I miss my family, especially the little ones. It's sad that I'm missing my nieces and nephews grow up. I can't believe how big they've gotten. I may be biased, but I think I have the cutest nieces and most handsome nephews EVER.

My mom and I spent the day together on Saturday, eating delicious Mexican food, and driving to Ogden to pick up Ethan and Kylie from my brother's house so that I could take them to go see Ice Age. Being the cool aunt that I am, I of course bought them candy and pop. To which they devoured before the previews were over!
Taking Kylie and Ethan to the movies!

Ordering delicious Mexican food. It's my fave. Mmm.
Oh, and I also went to Holly's wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony, and Holly looked amazing. I'm so happy for her.

On Sunday my dad had a BBQ for me. I ate and ate and ate. But it was so fun to be with family.

My brother-in-law Tony, and my brother Marcus.
And their wieners. Size may be accurate. Ha.

Branson, showing me his medal he got for finishing a 5K that morning.

Boston, being the little athlete of the family.

Boston, again. This kid has no fear of anything!

After stuffing myself at the BBQ, I met up for some sushi with old friends from middle school, two of which I haven't seen in 15 years. Am I really that old?!

  2. I wish we could get together for a run again - but sometimes it's just a pain to try to see everyone. :)
Is that new Mexican place on 126 any good? All of the Yelp reviews say Skip it, so we haven't been yet. But I love Mexican, and it's so close!
