That's right. I'm sick. I haven't run for two days and I'm really bummed out about it. I love running, and I was just beginning to hit my stride again, as far as endurance and distance is concerned. Plus, I always feel so much better about myself after a good, hard run.
But look on the bright side: at least I'm getting sick now, instead of in two weeks when I have to run the Florida Ragnar. Because we all remember my last experience running a Ragnar with the flu....
Until then, lots of rest, lots of sleep, and lots of soup.
I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I missed out on a week of running and a 10-mile run back in September because I got sick too. Ugh. It really feels like it's a giant setback because you have to work hard to get back to where you were before you got sick once you are well. Double ugh.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, hope you feel better soon. Now, off to read your Wasatch adventures!
I am more than in the same boat as you. After the Vegas Ragnar I was on a running high and went for a great 10 miler and muffed up my foot. I haven't been able to run for three weeks!!! I HATE it!! I am going to try to start again next week, that will have been a good month off of it and hopefully enough time to heal.... Get better soon. I'm sure it wont take you long to get back into right where you left off.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon! You're supposed to be tapering anyway, right? :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe long runs+getting sick really do go hand-in-hand? I feel like so many running blogs I read the writer talks about getting sick easily. I appearantly I do too!
