Yesterday I ran 13.1 miles. It wasn't an official half marathon, but I had 13 miles on the schedule and decided I'd tack on the extra .1 to make it a half-marathon.
I ran it in 2:13:20. Let me say that again.
2:13:20!
What?! Look over to the right side of my blog and you'll see my PRs for all my races. My half marathon PR is 2:37:something. That means that yesterday I unofficially kicked my half marathon PR in the ass! By 24 minutes. I'm ecstatic.
And the most amazing part about this is that I ran 10 miles without stopping for a walk break. That in itself is an accomplishment.
I am seriously itching for a real half marathon. I wonder if I could beat my unofficial PR?
uh, isn't it PB? personal best? or does it stand for something else?
ReplyDeleteanyways, great job!
Personal Record. I should probably change my side bar to say that...
ReplyDeleteHOLY CRAP! You did AWESOME!!! That beats my PR from last year at 2:15:37. Woot! Woot!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is awesome! I'm not sure how you shave off so much time so quickly. This is VERY close to a time I'd like to hit this year if I can. I've been doing a lot of work focusing on pace... I've already accepted that the Shamrock Half will most-likely not be a race I PR in (becasue I'm running with a friend)...and have to find another.
