Apparently my motivation to run has gone missing. Well, not missing, just temporarily misplaced.
I need to begin my training for the TOU Half Marathon that's at the end of August, and I'm having trouble getting myself out the door. I mean, just look at that mile counter on the right side. I did 10 miles last week. Ten miles. Are you serious?!
If you know where my motivation has gone, please tell me. Or even a little encouragement might help.
Yuck, I hate when that happens! Just think of the winter months when running isn't nearly as appealing. Take advantage of July! get out there!
ReplyDeleteYou can do it. Just think of how crappy the TOU is gonna be if you don't get out there and run now! Oh, and I won't be doing that race with you after all. It lands on Landon's birthday and he has a bike race he wants us both to do, so that is the plan. I am, however, doing the half in St. George! Just start running again, read in some of your past posts and remember how good you feel when you do it, it will come back soon! good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'm all in with Amanda. You can do it! A bad week or so is nothing to worry about, but do some looking around the race website and get excited about it - it'll be hard to keep you from running then!
ReplyDeleteThe exactly ONE MONTH until raceday always proves to be an "oh shit" moment for me, and if I wasn't already feeling serious, I do then. No turning back ;)
